LOVE AT FIRST CLICK

So, many of you know I'm heading out of SLC shortly and into the warm Caribbean air. And this, just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. But I needed a few things before I packed my bags and headed off to paradise.

Specifically some pretty sweet boardshorts. And I've been searching, and searching. And well, SLC isn't exactly known for its surf/swim shops. So I ventured online. And even made a purchase, at a not-so-fantastic surf shop online. Well, my experience with this other store, which I refuse to name, so the don't get any free press, has been nothing short of a disaster. I logged on their site, bought a few pairs of boardshorts, and thought, wow. Easy enough. Not so much. I received an e-mail informing me that they were on back order. So I call customer service, and two long conversations later, they tell me they have no idea when they will be in. And since I'm in kind of a time-crunch, what with the little vay-cay and all, I tell them what losers they are for showing they have inventory of something when they really don't, cancel my order, vow never to shop there again, and continue my search online for some sweet boardshorts.

That's when I head over to google (I love you google). And up pops Zappos. Hmmm, I thought they only sold shoes. And this is where my fabulous online shopping experience begins.

And truth be told, I have bought some fabulous things there before, and have had a wonderful experience each time. So now, I am sharing with you, the loveliness that is Zappos.

The first and greatest thing about Zappos is their shipping is always free.

Really free. And not just, wait for two weeks free. No, overnight free. And that's saying something. Especially because I was blessed with the patience of two-year-old. I got online yesterday, ordered these two lovely pairs of boardshorts about 4pm my time, and walla, doorbell rings about noon today and here they are. I love the magic of Zappos and overnight shipping.

And it must also be noted that zappos also has free shipping back too, in case you get something that doesn't fit, or you don't like it. No questions asked.

And, they also have in depth product descriptions, pictures (with at least 8 different views), and my favorite thing: Reviews. Yes, you can read about other people's experiences buying and owning the product you are about to buy. Bloody brilliant!

And they don't just do shoes. They have a Zappos rideshop (where I got my boardshorts, but you can get anything surf, ski or snowboard related). A Zappos running (hello mom) where you can get shoes, gear, and running gadgets. A Zappos couture (for all things hoity-toity), and also a Zappos outdoor where you can buy camping, hunting, and fishing stuff.

Neat right?

Well, anyways, just wanted to share with you, my new found love. Anytime I'm in the market to buy anything online, from now on I'll have to check with Zappos first. Cause, quite simply, with the way other businesses do customer service now-a-days, Zappos is a breath of fresh air.
