Just for today I am loving that I have these adorable fingernails attached to these cute, squishy, baby hands so that I can paint them this lovely shade of fuschia.
This is Thing 2's first time ever letting her mama paint her nails. She sqealed with delight, I ate my cereal through watery eyes, because of the pure joy it brings me to know I have a girl to share these priceless moments with.
A little breakfast mani. Life is grand.

how cute! I shared this same joy with my thing #1 a boy....he insisted and I tried everything but...my husband came home and said what the $%#& happened to your feet? I came running into the room looking for a cut or something...nope it was just a tormented ego and a little boy with red toe nails!

I love how you are always so honest about the hard times and the times of joy with motherhood. I appreciate the honestly and I think it will make me better prepared for the whole gig. I know it will change my life in huge ways and I look forward to the right time for me to experience it all.
