SUMMER PRODUCT LOVE

Hey bloggers. Sorry it's been so long. Things have been extra crazy around here, as tends to happen when Summer is in full swing. We've been out and about and enjoying ourselves immensely. But because of this, the blog has been lacking. Sorry about that folks. Hopefully things will slow down a bit come September.

Well, today I thought I'd go ahead and do a little showcase of food products I have been thoroughly enjoying as of late. I love to hear about products via blogs that people enjoy. I find that I like products people recommend so much more than if I just pick my own. Weird. Yes, I know.

Here goes nothing.

Okay, first off is this little lovely bottle of salad dressing. Ever since my whole salt/sodium fiasco that is my life took over, I've been scouring the shelves at the grocery store looking for products that taste good without all the salt. And believe you me, its one difficult task. Sure you can find full-fat dressings that are lower in salt but you have to be willing to down 30 plus grams of fat in TWO?! tablespoons. Um, no thank you. But then I came across this little bottle, and I have been enjoying it immensely ever since. It is Bernsteins Light Fantastic Cheese Fantastico. In a normal 2 Tb it has only 25 calories, 1.5 grams of fat and get this, only 370 mg of sodium!! Incredible. I've seen dressing with close to 1200 mg so this is great. It tastes amazing too. Kinda like the Olive Garden salad dressing but without all the guilt. Yay for bernesteins!

Moving right along. I tried, and tried to find a picture on the web of my next item, but no luck. Oh well. So, a while back my hubby took me out for Sushi. Not really a fan. I enjoy a good miso, and a California roll, but other than that, I'll pass. See, I rather like things cooked. Raw mostly equals squishy. Yucko. But we went to this restaurant called Tsunami. And he knows how I LOVE spicy food so he suggested the ribs. Ribs?! At a sushi place? That can't be good. But dear friends, it is. Soooooo good. And I have them every time I go. Miso, edamame, and ribs. Almost heavenly. The sauce they put on those ribs is nothing short of royalty. But then one day Hubs came home with a bottle of the enlightened sauce (jalapeno teriyaki sauce) they douse on the ribs. And well, we've been dousing it on everything from Salmon (delightful!!) to chicken even veggies. And let me tell you. It is fan-double-tastic. I'm pretty certain I could drink this straight from the bottle, but well, that's just not civilized.

My next product has been a standby for quite some time. I will freely admit that I love a good soda. And yes, I am aware of the damage it is doing to my bones and teeth, and honestly, I DON'T CARE. So, yeah. Get over it. But a while back I did try to switch over from the full sugar sodas to the diet. And lets just say I haven't been all that impressed. Until I tried the diet Sunkist. And I swear, I can't tell the difference. Yes friends, it's that good. Try it out for yourself. DIET SUNKIST = PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH.

My next food item I have been enjoying almost nightly since it was introduced to me by my good friend Stacie S. last Thursday while out with the girls. The location? A hole in the wall gas station in Zion on 17th and 17th called Stop n' Go. The food item? THE MOST DELICIOUS FAT FREE FRO YO EVER. And I have to admit, I'm kinda a snob about my fro yo. I haven't cheated on Maverick in a while. Sure, I did once on a friends recommendation to try Red Mango. Tried it. Loved it. The green tea flavor that is. But now, the green tea flavor has been discontinued because I'm sure people think that if you eat green tea ice cream apparently it is like buying a one way ticket to hell. And well, I was enjoying hell. Until they got rid of it. Too many saints headed over to the dark side I guess. So then I went back to Maverick. But ever since I've had the Stop n' Go, Fro Yo, I haven't' been back. And the last two times I went to Stop N' Go I had the Fat Free Sugar Free Frozen Yogurt. And bloggers, this was delightful. Absolutely so much that I can't stop going. I might need a Stop n' Go intervention.

So, these are my enjoyments as of late. It's the simple things people. Really.

HAGS!

Okay first of all I am happy you love stop n go. you absolutely do not need an intervention because it is a great treat to get multiple times a week! :_) but mostly what I am excited about is that you love diet sunkist. I have had 2 two this week already. and have been drinking them like crazy the past month or so. we'll have to get a stash for NC! :-)
